Special Puppy/Novice/Veteran Test
The Decoys, Nacton, Suffolk

by kind permission of Mr John Norris
Saturday 11th April 2009

Judges: Mr Peter Darton and Mr John Canham

A reduced number of entries, maybe due to the Easter Holiday, but
only 21 dogs competed in this event. Sadly Mary Darton was not well
enough to judge as originally planned, and John Canham stepped in
at the last minute. Some very good dog work, particularly from the
Special Puppy category. It was good to see a Nova Scotia Duck
Tolling Retriever in the line-up, but sadly she was slightly over-faced
by the tests.

Open Sugar Beet Test
Tendring Hall, Stoke by Nayland, Suffolk
by kind permission of Mrs E. Holden

Saturday 15th August 2009

Judges: Mr Paul Thorpe and Mrs Sam Morley Riches

Peter Fulcher had devised an interesting test on field trial lines –
no set pattern to the tests, so each competitor in line had to
watch and mark everything. The dogs all went very well despite
the warm day, and the final marks were very close.

1st Liz Ingram with Garrethall Myrhh (Lab bitch)
Winner of the Braisewood Pimm Cup

2nd – Ben Van Praagh with Faircotelabs Fern (Lab bitch)
3rd – Mrs J. Hughes with Vineham Spice (Lab bitch)

Winner of the Northash Fly by Trophy for best marking dog
